Mubiru James is a Founder and Chief Executive Director of Country Lights Uganda that aims at inspiring, rescuing and empowering vulnerable children and youth through life skills, Education opportunities and talent development in Uganda. He is Human Rights Activist with ten years experience in advocating for child rights and youth and family empowerment.

He completed a Degree in Computer Science at Kampala University, where he acquired skills in computer repair and maintenance, data base management, Java programming management information systems, computer operation and architecture soft ware engineering and communication skills.

While working as a System Administrator with Afro Soft IT Solution development and IT training aimed at offering real life computer hands on practical to all latest technologies. James helped out in soft ware developing, and system administering in the company by then.

He also completed certificate in theology at All Nations Theological College Entebbe and later joined Makerere Full gospel youth ministry were he became a Youth Leader from 2015- 2018 and he was Grooming young people to walk in the ways of God.

James also holds a Diploma in LAW from Law Development Centre and volunteers with Wameli and Company Advocates & Solicitors where he has acquired skills in advocating children rights and youth. He also holds a Bachelor degree in LAW and continues to advocate for Human Rights in Africa.

Currently he is a Lord Councilor (LC5) of Rubaga North 2021- 2026, were he represents over 60,000 citizens at the City Hall meeting at Kampala City Council Authority.
