Dr John Mulinde, a well-known church leader, theologian and author is calling for prayer following his diagnosis with pancreatic cancer.
Ministry officials that spoke to Uganda Christian News Tuesday, confirmed this development, adding that the Global overseer of World Trumpet Mission (WTM) is currently undergoing treatment in India.
Referring to God as the great physician, the Ministry not only called for prayer but also financial assistance to help with medical expenses.
Close sources say the beloved preacher shows unwavering faith, optimism, and humility in his fight through cancer.
An article by Mayo Clinic states that pancreatic cancer begins within one’s tissues of the pancreas — an organ in your abdomen that lies behind the lower part of your stomach. The article also noted that for many, pancreatic cancer is seldom detected at its early stages. For that reason, symptoms do not manifest “until after it has spread to other organs.”
Dr John Mulinde has written multiple books including Transforming Your World, Set Apart for God: The Call to a Surrendered Life, Awakening the Church (Mission: Open Heavens, Module 1) among others.
A divine encounter with God in 1988, prompted the visionary of the Global Prayer Altars Network and member of the International Council of Elders for Jerusalem House of Prayer for All Nations, to fully commit to ministry.
“The Lord shook up what I thought was my foundation of salvation, and challenged me whether I really lived my life unto Him or unto men. He revealed to me that my entire walk of salvation was like one major “performance put on for men’s benefit”; that I thrived on men’s affirmation and approval, subconsciously caring more for my self and what people thought of me, or affirmed in me, than for what God said and thought of my life. He said that I found it easier to go along with what people, and the system said I should be, rather than what the word of God said. He interpreted this as the worship of man and self-image. He said it was nothing but sheer idolatry,” Dr John Mulinde spoke of his encounter then.
World Trumpet Mission is headquartered at The Prayer Mountain for All Nations (Seguku), a 50-acre hillside retreat center that has been dedicated to Prayer and Fasting for people from all nations.
Since 1996, World Trumpet Mission has been annually hosting AFRICAMP, an international, inter-denominational gathering with believers in the Lord Jesus Christ with an objective of acting as a catalyst for the church to rise up and carry the torch for the gospel to nations worldwide.
Many on social media have expressed faith and are praying for God’s divine intervention to make the cancer regress to the point of total healing.
