Welcome to Country Lights Ministries in Uganda, where our dedication to self-sustainability initiatives plays a pivotal role in our ongoing mission. Our primary objectives encompass the generation of sustainable income to support the diverse activities of Country Lights.

Additionally, we are committed to nurturing a training component that empowers our young adults to become future business leaders, while simultaneously forging employment opportunities for both our youth and the extended community. Through these multifaceted efforts, we aim to catalyze community transformation.

Our self-sustainability endeavors are three-fold:

  1. Income Generation for Sustainable Activities: At Country Lights Uganda, we recognize that financial stability is crucial for the continuous care and support of vulnerable children and youth in our communities. We have undertaken poultry keeping initiatives that provide a steady supply of eggs to our villages. These eggs not only nourish the children within the Country Lights family but also contribute to our overall income, allowing us to sustain our activities and expand our reach.
  2. Empowering Future Business Leaders: We firmly believe in the potential of our young people to become dynamic leaders in the world of business. To nurture this potential, we have established a comprehensive training program. Through this initiative, we equip our young adults with the knowledge, skills, and mindset required to excel as entrepreneurs and future business leaders. By investing in their education and growth, we aim to empower them to drive positive change within their communities.
  3. Fostering Employment Opportunities: Unemployment is a pressing issue in many communities, and at Country Lights Uganda, we are determined to be part of the solution. Our self-sustainability projects create valuable employment opportunities for our young people and the wider community. Through initiatives like poultry keeping, we not only generate income but also provide meaningful work to those who need it most. This not only improves the lives of individuals but also contributes to the overall prosperity of the communities we serve.

In summary, our self-sustainability initiatives at Country Lights Uganda are much more than just income generators. They are engines of positive change, aimed at sustaining our mission, nurturing future leaders, and fostering employment in our communities. Together, we can bring about lasting transformation and make a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable children and youth.
